While Elaine does tell him off for being racist, it’s still a little sour. Jerry dates a woman whose last name is Chang and tries to figure out if she’s Chinese. Not all of them are perfect, and some are a little tough to watch more than 30 years later, but others are timeless – episodes like “The Contest” and “The Sponge” forever changed how we talk about sex on TV, particularly for women.

Starring Jerry Seinfeld as a fictional version of himself, alongside Jason Alexander as George, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine and Michael Richards as Kramer, Seinfeld – which ran from 1989 to 1998 – was always beloved by fans for its chaotic, surreal, dry humour, even when it wasn’t a mainstream hit.

In this episode Barney and Marshall get into a fight that will cross over into the next couple of episodes regarding GNB, Zoe’s protest, and the Arcadian.
Needless to say, some tensions have been rising with Ted and Zoe, and as we will find out in this episode, the effect this dilemma has on the group. Ted is currently dating Zoe, who is protesting the destruction of the Arcadian. Marshall has just quit working at GNB in hopes of finally pursuing environmental law. The building will take the place of an old run down, but historical building called the Arcadian. One of my favorite episodes of HIMYM is in season six, episode 22, called “The Perfect Cocktail.” Some background on this episode before I dissect the different plot lines and scene structure: Ted is the head architect on building GNB’s new headquarters.
Because the characters are always almost together, they are all intermingled in each plot line to some degree. In other words, Ted is not always the A plot even though he is technically the show’s main character. The A, B, and C plots revolve around all 5 of the main characters in various ways throughout the seasons.
